G.O.(Rt)68/2010 F&WLD Dt. 10 February 2010. Forest and Wildlife Department – Trees grown on the lands at the disposal of Government – Regulation on destruction and felling – Sanctioned – Orders Issued.

Conservator of Forests, Government of Kerala vide above G.O. made it mandatory to constitute a Committee at district level consisting representatives from Government and NGOs to protect and regulate felling of trees in the public places. It is mandatory to get the approval of the committee to cut any tree in any public places or compounds of Government or Quasi Government or public sector under takings or institutions.
