Reacting strongly against the current plan of disposing off endosulphan in Kasargode itself, Jayakumar. C, Executive Director Thanal Trust , calls it a big scientific folly. Having worked against the pesticide for the past two decades, he feels that when Stockholm convention has clearly laid out a standard procedure to deactivate pesticides, the move of the local Govt to deactivate it locally is illegal and totally irresponsible.
